Huckabee the Hypocrite-The Wrong Man for the Job

I don't know if I am more saddened or infuriated at the dishonesty and hypocrisy of Mike Huckabee. First of all he is using the name of Christ and not issues to win votes--"The Christian Leader"--and also in his passive aggressive, feigning ignorance way of attacking the LDS faith--"I don't know much about the Mormons, but don't they believe Satan and Jesus are brothers?". But not only is he exploiting the name of Christ and a religious bigot, but he is a hypocrite too.

He pretends to be this innocent, kind, charming guy, but he is just a dirty underhanded scumbucket. At least when Romney releases ads that show the differences between himself and Huckabee he does not hide that fact. Huckabee goes and says that it is so wrong that he has been "attacked" because Romney exposed his record. Oh poor Huckabee, "I have been outspent 20 to 1" (not totally true), "I have been attacked."

So then Huckabee pretends to take the high road. He says, "Look I made this ad against Romney, but I didn't feel right about it so I am not going to air it... But I am going to show it to the media anyway." You see that way he can claim to be the good guy, and still release his ad and not even have to pay a dime for airing it. Of course you are being outspent Huckabee--you are having the media pay for you to show your attack ads. Not only that but the ad actually did air almost 10 times AFTER Huckabee said he was not going to run it!

So in his attack ad he says, "If a man's dishonest to obtain a job he'll be dishonest on the job." Well Mr. Huckabee I guess you would be one of those dishonest people on the job wouldn't you? Your so called "facts" about Romney's record ranged from misleading to downright lies! You can see the ad and the truth about them at factcheck.org. One of the worst lies is when one of the ads says that there were no death sentences issued under Romney. First of all I wouldn't be talking if I were Huckabee, he pardoned thousands of horrible people. Second and more importantly there is no death penalty in Massachusetts! Romney tried to get one instated, but couldn't get it through the legislature. So obviously there were no death sentences. You can also see analysis of Mitt Romney's contrast ads. In their analysis they worst they can do is say that while the statements in the ad were true the words that appear on the screen that look like they came from newspapers were true, but the exact wording were not exactly found in any newspaper. Big deal, it is a 30 second ad. At least the statements were true.

I could go on and on about this guy, but I will leave you with this. This is an experience that Glenn Beck (a member of the LDS church also) had with Huckabee. You can read it here. I used to think Huckabee might be alright, but I have realized he is just like an onion: the more layers you peel the more it stinks. (I know comparing Huckabee to onions is a great insult to onions. I'm sorry)

Please send this to anyone who might support Huckabee with the plea that they look at his record before blindly supporting him. He seems like a nice guy, but he is one of the slimiest politicians in the race. Not just because of his attacks on the LDS faith that is the least of his problems, it is because of his exploiting the name of Christ, his hypocrisy and lies, and the fact that nobody really knows where he stands on most of the issues they just think he is a nice and personable guy. The people who do realize where he stands on many of the issues like immigration, welfare, criminals, etc. and his lack of understanding of other issues like foreign issues etc. realize that he is not the right person for the republican nomination.

I totally was agreeing with you up to the point where you dissed onions. What did they ever do to you? I don't think Huckabee will make it much further because A, people in the rest of the country are hopefully a little more intelligent than Iowans and B, with a name like Huckabee, how can you really be taken seriously? It's just a little too Billy Bob like for me. And with Chuck Norris as your celebrity endorser? Dude, Obama's got Oprah. I hate Oprah, but the rest of the world loves her. Walker Texas Ranger is just weird...
